Plymouth City Centre’s BID is delivered through Plymouth City Centre Company (CCC), a not for profit company, limited by guarantee, with a board of up to 15 directors elected from the BID members. Our vision is to grow the City Centre to be the major retail destination in the south-west peninsula; a key community and visitor destination, and a significant economic driver for Plymouth. The BID is now in its third term and aims to consolidate the progress that has been made since the creation of the first Plymouth City Centre BID in 2005.
A significant number of achievements have been delivered over the past eleven years despite the country being in the middle of an economic recession during the last term. High streets still face massive competition and footfall remains a challenge. As before we are committed to working with Plymouth City Council and our key partners, such as the waterfront partnership, to ensure the city is safe, clean and more vibrant for residents and visitors alike.
In this 2015-2020 BID term, we will continue our commitment to deliver the services you have identified during our extensive consultations, at the highest quality expected. Mayflower 400 is not far away and as a city we need to work together to ensure Plymouth offers the very best in customer experience, driving footfall and sales and ultimately a successful and thriving city centre.
